Illuminance Intensity

This is the measure of the light appearing on a surface. Their unit is lux (lat. brightness). It decreases with the distance to the light source. At double the distance, the luminous flux is distributed over four times the area. The better you want to see, the higher the required illuminance. The mean illuminance is an average value of E relative to an area.
