LEDs or light emitting diodes - short for Light Emitting Diodes - are electronic semiconductor components that emit light in the colours red, green, yellow or blue when live. With the aid of an additional internal luminous layer, blue LEDs can also produce white light. White light can also be generated by color mixing .
